Ahhh, what a glorious 6 1/2 months of travel it’s been!  I really ought to do a montage of this epic journey…but that’s a creative outlet for another day!

I’m wrapping up my time in the English countryside…and what a glorious place it’s been for me be to be in the “in between”.  Here’s a picture of the farmhouse my husband and I have been staying in…cooking, cozying up to fires every night, going for long walks, and I’ve done plenty of journaling too.

Clarissa Pinkola Estes, best-selling author of Women Who Run With the Wolves talks about a world in between worlds…and that’s exactly where I’ve been for much of 2012, and from what I hear from my Divine Living Radio Show listeners and Feminine Art of Manifesting participants, many other women have been in that “in between” space too.

In today’s Divine Living Radio Show I’m going to address the power of this “in between” time, what it’s for, how it can help you (or keep you stuck) from moving on into the next chapter of your life, plus give you tips on how to manage what can be very frustrating and fearful times with greater power, awareness and ease.

In today’s international Divine Living Radio Talk Show I’m going to be discussing:

When our friends, Zoltan Konrady and Aletta Lukacsy said they wanted to bring us to a traditional Hungarian restaurant–my husband and I immediately said, “Yes”.  When they shared with us that this was the place they were married…we knew it would be a night to remember forever.

I was fortunate enough to be introduced to this legendary establishment when I was in Budapest.

Károly Gundel opened his restaurant in this spot in 1910. The restaurant soon became a meeting place for politicians, prominent members of the business community and the bourgeois middle class. It was fashionable to dine in the Gundel, which boasted many artists, athletes, writers and various celebrities among its regular patrons.

Gundel Restaurant owed its popularity to two things: its inimitable hospitality and its unsurpassable cuisine. The ingenious Károly Gundel, who managed the restaurant in the early part of the 20th century, had an intuitive knack for bringing the best out of Hungarian cuisine by combining its original, unbridled flavors with the refined approach of French cuisine and applying modern gastronomic technology.

His pioneering work placed Hungary on the world map of gastronomy. According to the New York Times, Gundel Restaurant’s set-up at the 1939 World Fair in New York did more to enhance Hungary’s reputation than a shipload of tourist brochures could have done. Gundel Restaurant proudly upholds its traditions and continues to provide the same standard of gastronomic excellence that has made it Hungary’s most famous restaurant. It is their conviction that Gundel is not a synonym for luxury, but for quality.–Gundel The Restaurant

Ali and I ordered Champagne for an aperitif…when our flutes arrived, they came with foie gras rolled in black truffles. I. Love. Budapest.

You must understand Hungary = goose liver. This variation is on brioche with caramelized onion and sea salt…divine.

Admittedly, this photo does not begin to express the majesty that this “Hungarian Goulash” deserves. The beef was succulent and tender, the tomato broth quite elegant. Not at all the “stew” Americans think it is.

What a night. Thank you Zoltan & Ali!

Since my husband and I love everything about traveling through France & Italy, that’s where we for years now keep going back to over and over again.

So this summer, we challenged ourselves that for the months of June and July we’d only visit NEW places in Europe.  As a result, so far we’ve experienced Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, Prague, and now I bring to you the hidden gem of Europe…the beauty of Budapest.

I NEVER …A) thought I’d do this, and once I did “it” …B) I NEVER thought I’d tell anyone.  So here goes.  Since we’ve been moving around at quite a pace, approximately 3-4 days per city, we were looking for quick ways to get to know these new-to-us towns…so I share with you what has now become an inside joke between me and my beloved husband:  Hop on.  Hop off.

Yes.  We have become one of those tourists on the double-decker red buses…headphones and all!

If you look closely you can see the headphones.

In my own royal defense, I must say, I’m thrilled we’ve been doing it because we get to see the city (more than if we just walked), learn some of the history, (admittedly I’m not a huge fan of parliament houses and I can only see so many churches), however I’ve enjoyed learning some quirky history tips, and getting a beautiful overview of the city has worked great for us.

Here are some pictures from the “hop off” parts of our Budapest tour…

On the train from Prague to Budapest

After taking the train from Prague to Budapest, Glenn and I arrived in the city center, and I immediately was enamored with the powerful vibration of this stunning metropolis.  I don’t know how else to describe Budapest, other than the Eastern European version of Rome.  I had no idea.

My friend, Zoltan Konrady, made reservations for the three of us at the famed Bock Bisztro…this favorite among locals usually has a 3-day wait list so make your reservations early.

Hi Ladies,
I’m clearly enjoying Berlin…and I think today’s video will give you some great tips (plus motivation) on raising your vibration!

Happy Friday and I’m off to explore Berlin!

Gina DeVee

I just arrived in Berlin after spending 4 glorious days in Copenhagen with my husband.  We’ve always been in love, though this “traveling throughout Europe indefinitely” has done something really  special to deepen our love for each other and has provided a romantic element I didn’t exactly anticipate.

Having left “life as usual” in April, where we enjoyed 2 months in Palm Springs, and then headed off to Europe on June 1st, I keep thinking “this vacation needs to end, and we need to get back to work”.  When the reality is, I CAN allow my life to have this “vacation-like” feel, and I am “working”…however, I’m no longer forcing myself to do the things I think I should for business growth, so it no longer feels like work.

I’m more free than I’ve ever been!  I listen to my intuition every day, and let divine guidance lead me.  I’m coaching women entrepreneurs all over the world, from all over the world, allowing myself to enjoy the global brand I once wished for and envisioned.

I’m also allowing the elements of life that I so deeply love:  travel, freedom, adventure, life style, spirituality, friendships, romance, femininity and all things “foodie” to be the core of my life.  I’m breathing into letting life “get that good”.

How about you?  What elements do you have in your life that block you from letting life get that good?

What actions do you take, as a woman entrepreneur, out of fear…thinking you need to do xxxx because that’s what will bring in the money?

What are you pushing to make happen, vs. create the space to allow your good to manifest?

These are the questions I’m asking myself everyday.  I’d love to hear your comments below…

Much love,

Gina DeVee

On our last day in Amsterdam, Glenn and I decided to have no agenda and just go explore the city…as true tourists.

So first, we stopped for a quick (and relatively healthy) falafel sandwich.

Then we strolled down this street…

More views from tourist alley in Amsterdam

Trinkets galore!

And then…I spotted the Canal Boat Tours!

Canal boat tour time!

In addition to seeing some great views of the city, and learning more about the history and culture of Amsterdam, I found myself actually enjoying being a tourist.  There was a playful, unscheduled quality to it…something we women entrepreneurs rarely experience.  Watch this video where I explain more…

So for example, if I were in Los Angeles, a tourist activity I’d do is take a boat ride over to Catalina Island and spend the day there.  Where do you live and what tourist spots do you want to check out?

Much love,

Gina DeVee

Glenn and I were speaking in London recently, and one of the women who attended our event asked Glenn for some relationship advice.  He spoke so beautifully for about 20 minutes, and somewhere in his response, I heard him say, “Every night is date night.”   I thought, “Wow!”, I’ve gotten so used to always enjoying our evenings together (whether at home our out), it never occurred to me how special this really is.

Traveling to new places of course lends itself to new adventures on a daily basis.  My husband and I both crave new experiences, and we also make sure that we take time for our relationship. Last night we had a delightful new experience at a small restaurant in Amsterdam, Il Fiore.  I promise you, do not judge a restaurant by it’s website!  The food here is SPECTACULAR and is “Gina DeVee Certified”.

We’re into sharing plates and enjoying a number of courses these days.  We LOVED the antipasto platter, and then devoured the we-couldn’t-speak-it-was-so-good-black-truffle-pasta-dish, and then, admittedly the Veal Saltimbocca was okay, however, the bread and olive oil = divine!

Relationship Tips:

1.  Let your man initiate your date:  We went to a ridiculously, off the charts, amazing restaurant here in Amsterdam 2 nights ago, Bistro Neuf, and it was so great…I actually wanted to go again.  (Glenn calls me a “repeater” when I do this).  However, he thought it’d be good to go somewhere new, and me, enjoying his empowered masculine leadership, loved following his guidance.

2.  Especially if you’ve been in a relationship for a while and you typically do the ordering:  Let him order.  Last night I had very quickly picked out what I want to order “in my head”…then Glenn made a few suggestions, and being in my feminine I said, “That sounds great, darling!”  And even though it’s not what I would have chosen, it did honestly sound great.  AND, much to my enjoyment, as you can see from reading above, his choices were scrumptious.

3.  Do something special for your relationship everyday.  For those of us who have been blessed with great men in our lives, their love, support, and care can easily be taken for granted if we have the mindset of always thinking about “what’s next” in our careers.  Remembering to honor him and take time for him and listen to him can be just the TLC every relationship (and man) needs.

To sum up our experience last night, it wasn’t ordinary, it was yet another very special date night.

Much love,

Gina DeVee

Ahhh, today is my last day in Brussels.  It’s been exquisite.

Glenn and I roamed the cobblestone streets, we met up with great friends for a dinner party, and I of course enjoyed leisure shopping through the winding roads, sampled Belgian beer, oysters, chocolate, sole, and croquettes.  Here are a few pics from the journey:

After a glorious week in London, and an exquisite day with about 22 women entrepreneurs on deepening femininity and raising our vibration and frequency, my husband and I headed off to Brussels, where we are today.

We enjoyed a leisure Sunday here in Brussels, reflecting on our time in England while immersing ourselves in Belgian culture.  We’ve been opening up more every day we’re on this indefinite European adventure to a feeling of liberation.  Here’s a quick video about liberating yourself, and living life on your terms.
